I came to Rimavska Sobota on January 2015 and had amazing experiences about European society life and everything is good going for now. During the EVS time, you can visit a lot of countries, recognize kind of culture and life styles so you can create awareness in your life. Also, project helped meto improve my personal skills. A year can be long, but with travels, good friendships and work experiences time flies quickly.
EVS is an amazing experience and if you want to do it well, Fundament is a very good organisation with nice people. Slovakia is very fine located in the center of Europe, you have a lot of city and countries to visit around (Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Prague, Brno, Krakow...). Rimavska Sobota is a nice and quiet town, well to live one year.
I spent precious time in Slovakia in 2013, which is great and friendly country, the second home in my life. Right now I miss my volunteer time. If you choose to be volunteer in Fundament you will not regret.

A few students were invited to attend a workshop about EVS at Fundament’s office.

It’s true that I like sports, and I like to talk about it (but it does not mean that I am sportsman). Anyway, when I arrived in Slovakia, I was curious about what kind of sport are popular here.
Today, 1st of November, it’s a bank holiday, both in France and Slovakia. For this one, the All Saints’ day , we celebrate the same thing in the same way. But it’s not really the case during the year.

Last weekend we were invited, by one of our EVS friends, to Trnava.
Banská Bystrica is the capital of the region where our hosting city is located. It is also the 6th largest municipality in Slovakia. During a one day trip, we discovered its charming old square and the museum of Slovak National Uprising. We had no idea about the role of Slovakia during WW2 before we visited […]
